North Lake Lida – South Lake Lida – Venstrom
Lake Lida is located in westcentral Minnesota in otter tail county just five miles east of Pelican Rapids, MN and is actually a series of three lakes; North Lida, South Lida, and Ventstrom.
These three lakes together total nearly 6500 acres. |
South Lake Lida is located North of County Highway 3 and South of State Highway 108. It is connected to North as mentioned above as well as to Venstrom Lake by small chanel (navigable only by small water craft). Almost the entire east side of the lake boarders Maplewood State Park. Venstrom, by far the smallest of the three lakes is only accessable from South Lida. It is frequented by paddleboats and canoes. |
Hello. I currently serve as VP for the Star Lake Association. We are thinking of installing solar powered lights at our public access sites. I am curious if your lake has lighting at your public access sites and, if so, what has been the experience with them. It is being discussed as a safety and invasive species control project. Thanks. My wife and I have been looking at property to possibly build on South Lida, was just wondering what if you had any rules in the association about having a RV on the lot while you are figuring out what to build on the lot. Thank you.
